Horry County police investigate shooting in the Green Sea area

Horry County police are investigating a shooting in the Green Sea area.

Officers closed part of S.C. Highway 9 on Tuesday night near Sandy Bluff Road as they investigated the incident. The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m.

Police responded to Sandy Bluff Road for a report of a person being shot, according to a police report. While on the way, dispatchers told officers that two cars were shooting at each other on West Dogwood Road and S.C. 9.

Officers got to Sandy Bluff Road and a witness said a home was shot four times, according to the report. One person was shot in the leg and took the victim for medical care.
