2nd armed robbery in a week reported at Carolina Forest apartment complex

A person reported being robbed at Indigo at 110 apartments, the second armed robbery at the Carolina Forest apartment complex in less than a week.

Horry County police went to the Chanticleer Village Drive complex on Saturday for the reported robbery.

The victim said he met the suspect at a convenience store, according to a police report. The victim agreed to have the suspect spend the night at his apartment.

As the two walked in the complex, the suspect pointed a handgun and demanded the victim’s money, according to the report. The victim gave the suspect money, and the suspect fled in a white hatchback car.

The victim was not hurt in the incident, according to police.

Police searched the area for the suspect, but could not find him.

The victim provided officers with few details of the suspect, according to police. Authorities have not released any details of the person involved.

On March 18, a separate armed robbery was reported at the same complex. The victim in that case said he asked a person for help finding an apartment. The suspect put that man in a headlock and then demanded money.
