Myrtle Beach police investigating after one person shot near 3rd Avenue South

Myrtle Beach police are investigating after one person was shot on Sunday night.

Officers went to the 200 block of Cedar Street around 10:30 p.m. for the reported shooting. When emergency crews arrived they found one person was shot, Gretchen Kalar with Myrtle Beach police said.

The victim went taken to the hospital, Kalar said. There are a couple of apartment complexes in the area of Cedar Street.

Several police cars are in the area as officers investigate the incident.
