Necklace stolen from rapper at N. Myrtle Beach area club ignites social media threats
Editor’s note: There was an inaccurate attribution in this story that has been corrected. A group of men said they stole Luh Soldier’s necklace during the incident.
A rap star allegedly had his necklace stolen while at a Myrtle Beach area club, and now two groups are making threats on social media over the incident.
Luh Soldier — whose real name is Jamal Swain — performed at Club Drip in Atlantic Beach on Saturday, according to a poster promoting the event. Club Drip is also known as Pearl’s Cabaret on S.C. Highway 17.
During that performance, a group of men say they stole a gold chain from Luh Soldier. The perpetrators posted on social media talking about taking the jewelry, showing it off and holding guns.
There was no police report listed on Horry County police’s website about the alleged theft. Atlantic Beach officials did not respond in time for this report to say if the incident was reported to the agency.
Birmingham, Alabama, native Luh Solider quickly posted a response on Instagram to the alleged theft. The rapper stated he wasn’t worried about the chain — in far fewer words — and that he wanted to “yellow tape,” which is an apparent reference to police tape used to protect a crime scene.

A response to Luh Solider had yet to be posted as of Monday evening.
If the theft happened at Club Drip, it would be the second high-profile event at the establishment in months. In November, police responded to the club after a reported shooting at an after-party for a rap concert.
