Horry County Coroner identifies person killed in Loris shooting

A 32-year-old was shot and killed in Loris on Saturday and police continue to investigate.

Myron Spain died in the shooting, according to Horry County deputy coroner Patty Bellamy.

The shooting left others injured, police said, and their condition is unknown.

Officers responded to the reported shooting in the 4300 block of Harrleson Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday, Loris police Chief Gary Buley said on Saturday. Harrleson Avenue is off Main Street in Loris.

Buley did not respond on Sunday to provide additional details about the other victims or what led to the shooting.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was also called to help investigate the case.
