One dead after multiple people were injured in Loris shooting, police investigating

A 32-year-old man has died after multiple people were shot in Loris on Saturday evening.

The man died from injuries sustained in the shooting, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy. The coroner’s office has not released the identity of the man killed in the shooting.

There is no word on the condition of the others taken to the hospital, Loris police Chief Gary Buley said.

Police say the shooting happened around 7 p.m. on the 4300 block of Harrelson Avenue.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was also called to help investigate the incident.
