One pet dies in North Myrtle Beach fire involving motor home, several vehicles
A fire in North Myrtle Beach involving several vehicles and a motor home led to the death of a pet Wednesday.
The North Myrtle Beach Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at 16th Avenue South and Madison Drive early Wednesday morning.
The fire affected five vehicles and a motor home. Although the fire took place near Triple Star Auto Mart and a car wash, the businesses were not involved in the fire.
One pet died during the fire, and no other injuries were reported.
The fire started inside the motor home, according to Lauren Jessie, multimedia and communications director for the City of North Myrtle Beach. The North Myrtle Beach Fire Department is still working to determine the specific cause of the fire, Jessie wrote in a statement to The Sun News.
