A fast food chain known for its chicken wings is coming to a Conway shopping center.

Wingstop, a Texas-based chain with more than 2,500 locations across the world, is set to open a new location near Conway’s Coastal Centre at 1610 Church Street.

Residents have seen signs at the shopping center indicating that a Wingstop location is currently hiring and opening soon, but an exact opening date is unknown.

Wingstop did not respond to The Sun News’ request for information about the location prior to publication.

Wingstop restaurants serve both boneless and bone-in chicken wings in a variety of flavors. The chain has less spicy options like lemon pepper and garlic parmesan, as well as high-heat flavors like Cajun and mango habanero.

In addition to wings, Wingstop also serves chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches, as well as sides including loaded fries and Cajun fried corn.

The Conway location will be Wingstop’s third location in Horry County, following a Myrtle Beach location in Carolina Forest and a North Myrtle Beach location off of U.S. Highway 17 North.

More new tenants at Coastal Centre

Wingstop’s new location at Coastal Centre makes it part of a broader effort from real estate firm Rise Partners to redevelop and revitalize the shopping center after it acquired it in October 2024.

Most of the storefronts in the approximately 230,000-square-foot shopping center were vacant prior to the acquisition, but several new tenants have opened in recent months, with more to come later this year.

Following several months of renovation after Rise Partners’ acquisition, new stores including Five Below, HomeGoods and Ulta Beauty have recently opened at Coastal Centre.

Beyond Wingstop, the shopping center is also slated to add a Walmart Neighborhood Market, Chipotle and J Peters Grill & Bar.
