The Carolina Forest location will operate in addition to the restaurant’s flagship location off of Highway 17 at 1225 38th Ave. North in Myrtle Beach.

Sak Yiengjuntuek, the owner of Thai Bistro, said he decided to open a second location to meet the growing demands of diners located in Carolina Forest and the surrounding areas, taking the restaurant to them rather than having diners drive out to 38th Avenue.

“I want to bring the same quality of food and hospitality closer to our customers in that growing area,” Yiengjuntuek said.

Thai Bistro is one of several restaurants in the Grand Strand owned by Yiengjuntuek, who is also behind Thai Season, Lemongrass, and Asian Mart. He has operated restaurants locally since 2007, with 18 years of experience as a chef.

Serving both dinner and lunch, Thai Bistro’s menu offers a range of food from different East Asian cuisines, including various noodle dishes, curry, fried rice and sushi. Diners can also enjoy select cocktails from the restaurant’s bar.

The restaurant’s second location will retain the design, ambience and menu of the original Thai Bistro location, with a key special addition. Tea will be the standout new menu item at the Carolina Forest location of Thai Bistro, including both afternoon tea and boba tea.

Thai Bistro’s Carolina Forest location is slated to open by the end of June or early July, operating with the same hours as the 38th Avenue location and serving diners six days a week.
