Students evacuated from Horry County school after bomb threat. What to know
An Horry County School was evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat was reported.
The Horry County Police Department responded to Atlantic Collegiate Academy, located off of Bear Bluff Road, where the threat was reported.
Students and staff were evacuated safely, according to a post on Facebook. HCPD’s bomb team then swept the area, and it determined the building was safe around noon on Friday.
HCPD is asking people to avoid the area.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy declined to comment.
