Students evacuated from Horry County school after bomb threat. What to know

An Horry County School was evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat was reported.

The Horry County Police Department responded to Atlantic Collegiate Academy, located off of Bear Bluff Road, where the threat was reported.

Students and staff were evacuated safely, according to a post on Facebook. HCPD’s bomb team are sweeping the facility.

HCPD is asking people to avoid the area.
