A Florida man was killed after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Myrtle Beach.

It’s the second fatal motorcycle crash that happened over the weekend.

Ricardo Carrasquillo, 26, of Jacksonville, died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center just before 9 p.m. May 8, 2026, according to an email from Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

Carrasquillo’s motorcycle collided with a van entering the roadway on 29th Avenue North at Carriage Lane in Myrtle Beach, Willard said.

The roadway was closed for more than two hours as rescue crews responded to the crash.

The crash happened at 8:10 p.m., sending two people to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, according to a Facebook post from Myrtle Beach Police.

Additional details about the crash were not provided.

The crash happened during the beginning of Myrtle Beach Spring Bike Rally, which draws thousands of bikers to the Myrtle Beach area. It is unclear if Carrasquillo was here for the event.

Another motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday night in Conway.

James Howar, 42, of Conway, died at 9:45 p.m. after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a truck, according to an email from Willard.
