Motorcyclist dies after two-vehicle crash in Conway. Coroner names victim
One person died in a crash involving a motorcycle in Conway Sunday night.
James Howar, 42, of Conway, died at 9:45 p.m. after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a truck, according to an email from Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
The motorcycle driver was headed South on Cates Bay Highway near Faulk Circle when the motorcycle crossed into the left lane and collided with a GMC pickup truck, who was traveling North, according to an email from Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Grand Strand Hospital, where the person later passed away, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. There were no other injuries reported.
