Person and dog found dead in Myrtle Beach structure fire. What we know
A person and a dog were found dead in a Myrtle Beach fire on Friday, Myrtle Beach Fire Department officials announced online.
Fire department crews were dispatched to the fire at a residential structure in the 4100 block of Little River Road at 7:30 a.m. The first crew arrived in four minutes, but the fire still claimed two lives.
Upon arrival, crews deployed fire hoses from their truck to begin fighting the fire. When they entered the building, they found one person dead inside, as well as a dog found dead in a kennel, according to the announcement.
Myrtle Beach Fire and Police Departments are investigating the incident, as they do for all fires, the post says.
Those in the area will notice an increased public safety presence as the investigation continues.
