A new mixed-use oceanfront resort is set to open along Myrtle Beach’s famed boardwalk.

Ocean Escape Boardwalk Oceanfront, 700 N Ocean Blvd., is set to have its grand opening on Feb. 1.

The resort offers 37 condo units, including 20 three-bedroom ocean view and oceanfront spaces, that are designed for short-term stays and is located directly on the boardwalk, just steps away from the beach.

The resort also offers retail space on the ground floor. While an open date has not been set for the retail space, work is beginning on the commercial areas, and “we will have a variety of retail, dining and convenience shop facilities,” according to an email from Matt Klugman with Vacation Myrtle Beach.

It is one of three Ocean Escape condos operated by Vacation Myrtle Beach in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.

The new boardwalk location is set directly in Myrtle Beach’s tourist district along North Ocean Boulevard, where restaurants and entertainment activities are nearby.

The property once housed the Chesterfield Inn for more than 60 years and was replaced briefly by a miniature golf course, Klugman said.

“We are excited that families can resume making magical memories at this historic location,” Klugman said.
