HGTV has been filming in the Myrtle Beach area this week for one of its popular TV programs.

According to social media posts, the TV network is filming for an episode of “Beachfront Bargain Hunt.” The show follows homebuyers in search of beachfront living on a reasonable budget.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce confirmed Wednesday that the network was filming in Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. However, officials could not confirm what show was being filmed, only that it was one of the network’s beach shows.

Surfside Beach Mayor Robert Krouse also confirmed the filming in the town, adding that it was taking place on and around the pier. He did not know the details about the show.

Photos of film crews in front of the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Myrtle Beach showed film crews and people on the beach Tuesday. Another video showed crews on a section of beach in Myrtle Beach on Sept. 5, 2025.
