In honor of Coastal Carolina University’s baseball team making it to Omaha, NE for the College World Series, local Grand Strand bars are hosting watch parties for the team’s first game against University of Arizona.

The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. this afternoon and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Crafty Rooster in Conway, SC

A local hometown bar just minutes from CCU’s baseball stadium is hosting a watch party for the Chants on Friday afternoon, according to a post on their Facebook page.

The Crafty Rooster said they’ll be starting happy hour early in honor of the baseball team. Specials for Friday include $1 off draft beer, house wines and liquors for $3 and Jagerbombs for $4.50.

“Early Happy Hour at 3:00 PM for attendees!!! Let’s pack the house and show our Chanticleers some Conway love! This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment for our hometown team,” the post read. “Hope to see many familiar fans here!”

Menu options include pimento popper dip, quesadillas and nachos and fried pickles.

Duck Dive Bar and Grill in North Myrtle Beach

The Duck Dive Bar and Grill is opening up at noon on Friday in honor of the game with a buffalo chicken bacon ranch crunchwrap as their lunch special.

Happy hour will run from 4 to 6 p.m., a post on the bar’s Facebook page read.

Anchor Bar of Myrtle Beach

The Anchor Bar of Myrtle Beach, located on Kings Highway, will have all 64 of their TVs on for the afternoon game, a post said.

During the game, the bar and restaurant will be offering $2.00 Labatts Blue or Labatts Light bottles. Lunch specials will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and happy hour will run from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Quad in Pawleys Island

The Quad, a beer garden that’s home to delicious local food trucks is opening their doors at 12:30 p.m. on Friday to host an official watch party for the Chants.

The food truck Black Cat Kitchen will be ready to serve when doors open, according to an announcement on Facebook. Some menu items include loaded sweet potato fries, a kimchi hot dog and a meatball bao bun.
