The Myrtle Beach Bike Rally will have several new features this year, including a welcome center, a bike show and flat track racing.

The rally will roar into town on May 9 and leave May 18, with the most people in town the second weekend. There will be events and things to do throughout the entire rally, whether it’s live music, a ride along South Carolina highways or the Biker Rodeo at the Rat Hole.

Here are four new things coming to the 2025 Myrtle Beach Bike Rally.

Welcome Center and Rally Headquarters

For the first time, the spring rally will have an Official Welcome Center and Rally Headquarters for bikers, said Lee “Spider” Webb, the chairperson for the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally Promotions Committee. The center will be a tent next to Murrells Inlet Outpost, 3525 U.S. 17 Business, across the street from the Beaver Bar.

Rally attendees can come to ask questions about what to do, where to go and places to eat while in town for the rally, Webb said.

“It’s also a place where biker visitors can come in and take a load off their feet,” Webb said. There will be seating options and live music.

The welcome center will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the rally, according to a press release.

“Having a central point in Murrells Inlet will greatly benefit our attendees, providing a focal point that celebrates the strong connection between the Rally and this wonderful community,”the press release stated.

Flat track racing

The Lake View Motor Speedway is joining the excitement and will offer flat track racing May 10 and 11. Bikers will be able to enter into contests at the Nichols area race track, said owner Scott Tripp.

If people want to watch, tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children and free for anyone under the age of 5, according to the event poster.

On Saturday, the heat race, a preliminary round, will start at 6:30 p.m. with the main event to follow. On Sunday, the heat race will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the main race afterwards. There will be practice time in the hours prior to the race.

There will also be racing classes available for $50 or $75.

Myrtle Beach Bike Rally Countryside Ride

While there are other rides happening during the Spring Rally, this will be the first one held by the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally Promotions Committee. It will go from Murrells Inlet to Nichols to Myrtle Beach and be around 120 miles, according to a press release.

Webb said the free ride will start from the Welcome Center and Rally Headquarters on May 16. Line-up and registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the ride will start at 11 a.m. Bikers will drive through the countryside on the southern side of Horry County while making their way to Lake View Motor Speedway.

There will be a stop at the racing track with a free hot dog lunch. This is an homage to the start of the Myrtle Beach Spring Rally, which began as a small hot dog roast in the 1940s, Webb said.

Bikers will then drive through northern Horry County until they end at Renegades, 9668 N Kings Highway.

Webb encourages those interested to register ahead of time. They can find information about registration on the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally Facebook page.

Twilight Bike Show at Renegades

The Myrtle Beach Bike Rally will host a nightly motorcycle show at Renegades, ending with a grand championship on May 17, Webb said. It starts at 5 p.m. and lasts until 8 p.m.

Riders can enter the competition for free and win prizes and trophies. The first, second and third place winners will be invited back for the grand championship on the final Saturday of the rally.

Webb said people should try to register ahead of time to be in the show, but if there’s still space, people can join at the event.
