An eatery that opened less than a year ago in the Market Common area is now closed, and it is unclear why.

Capriotti’s, a national restaurant chain serving Philly cheese steaks and sandwiches with Wagyu beef, closed its Farrow Parkway location. Google reports the restaurant as permanently closed, the phone number listed for the property has been disconnected and Capriotti’s website does not list the eatery on its location map. However, the national brand’s Carolina Forest location at 224 Fresh Drive Unit B remains on the map.

Capriotti’s Marketing did not return a request for comment before publication. According to the South Carolina Department of Health, the now-closed Farrow Parkway location received two restaurant inspections from the state while in operation.

The Market Common eatery was first inspected on March 1, 2024, and received a 95 percent score. Minor violations, like a misplaced spray bottle, were noted. Capriotti’s received a second follow-up inspection Mar. 11, 2024, receiving a 97 percent.
