New Myrtle Beach area wine bar allows sipping while shopping. It’s next chapter for owners
If pouring a glass of wine and reading a good book sounds like a perfect way to spend time, then the owners of a Myrtle Beach area business have got you covered.
Eli and Cortney Hornyak have opened what is believed to be the first bookstore and wine bar along the Grand Strand.
The married couple opened Bookworm & Vine, 6925 Highway 707, an expansion of their bookstore they have operated for seven years. The new store, which opened its doors March 21, is located just five miles from the original business, said Eli Hornyak.
The independent bookstore not only sells used and new books, but now has a wine shop and bar that allows customers to sip wine while they shop.
There is seating and the store has eight beers on draft and 12 wines by the glass. Coffee will be coming soon, Hornyak said.
The bookstore has more than 25,000 books in different genres.
