Horry County city is among top places for senior travel. What other cities made the list?
One of the best places for senior travel in the United States is in Horry County.
According to a survey conducted by Freedom Showers, Conway, South Carolina, is ranked as the 19th best winter travel destination for seniors out of 225 cities.
“A historic rivertown, Conway provides seniors with accessible walking paths along the scenic Riverwalk, charming downtown shops, and cozy dining options,” the survey results said. “Its strong healthcare infrastructure and welcoming community make it an ideal winter escape.”
A survey of 3,003 senior travelers was conducted to identify their top domestic winter vacation recommendations, a spokesperson for the company said.
The survey questions asked seniors for their top destinations, along with ease of access, comfort and activities.
The top 10 results from the survey were cities from Florida and Hawaii.
The results for next set of 10 featured two destinations from South Carolina: Beaufort at No. 16 and Conway at No. 19.
Georgetown and Aiken both made the top 40, taking spots 31 and 35.
