Trader Joe’s opening a new grocery store in the Myrtle Beach area. Here’s where it will be

Myrtle Beach’s residents will have a new grocery store to shop at. For some, it’s been years in the making.

A public relations professional with Trader Joe’s confirmed to The Sun News that the national brand will open a new grocery store in the Myrtle Beach area. The public relations professional did not provide a location or timeline for the store’s opening.

The Trader Joe’s website lists stores opening soon, but doesn’t state when it will open.

The announcement proceeds much speculation by Grand Strand residents on social media about a new location opening. Myrtle Beach area residents have also gone to great lengths to buy its products, sometimes carpooling to the Wilmington, North Carolina, location to buy its groceries.

The Trader Joe’s location website lists the new store at 1511 Brookton Circle in the SayeBrook shopping area.
