Is Gabe’s replacing Old Time Pottery in Surfside Beach, SC? Here’s the company’s response
Surfside Beach’s Old Time Pottery will stay open, but the store will be somewhat different.
In April 2023, the West Virginia-based Gabe’s discount clothing outlet purchased Old Time Pottery. In March 2024, a Facebook user speculated that the Surfside Beach location would convert into a Gabe’s, The Sun News reported March 8, 2024.
However, Gabe’s media team claims this is not the case. In a press release, Gabe’s wrote that Surfside Beach’s site will still feature home decor products and offers.
However, the Grand Strand site is hosting an every-is-on-sale event to clear space to carry more of Gabe’s products instead. In turn, Old Time Pottery’s offerings are getting consolidated. Gabe’s is known for selling discounted clothing and apparel.
