More people visit Myrtle Beach each year than live in the state of Pennsylvania. That adds up to 17.2 million visitors, according to the Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Where do all these visitors come from, you might wonder?

Around the Grand Strand, you can find license plates from all over the U.S. or even beyond. Each March, Myrtle Beach welcomes Canadian visitors at the annual Can-Am Days.

These tourists might have seen Myrtle Beach on recent rankings. Condé Nast Traveler listed Myrtle Beach as one of the 14 best affordable beach destinations in the world. Tripadvisor said Myrtle Beach was the second-most searched summer destination on the travel website for 2023 and a top trending winter destination.
