SC has 2 of the best ice cream shops in the US, Yelp says. Do Myrtle Beach readers agree?
Two Myrtle Beach-area ice cream shops made Yelp’s 2023 list of top 100 ice cream shops in the country.
Kirk’s Ice Cream Parlor in Myrtle Beach ranked 23rd in the U.S. and Melt in North Myrtle Beach made 53rd on the list.
Yelp based the list on a variety of factors including the number and ratings of reviews between Jan. 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.
Kirk’s received three nominations in the Sun News’ June reader ranking. With an old-school interior, this ice cream parlor serves sundaes like turtle and s’mores made with Blue Bell ice cream.
Sun News readers chose Melt as the best ice cream shop in the Myrtle Beach area for 2023. The creamery rotates between over 60 house-made flavors and our readers praised employees’ quick service.
