Loris man arrested by Horry police for robbing bank in Longs. He made off with thousands

A Loris man has been arrested for robbing a Longs bank earlier this month, according to the Horry County Police Department.

Thomas Tony Bradley, 52, was charged Monday with entering a bank, depository or building and loan association with intent to steal, according to a Twitter post by police.

He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at about 10 p.m. and was still incarcerated Tuesday afternoon.

Bradley is accused of robbing the Anderson Brothers Bank, 71 Cloverleaf Drive in Longs, on June 9. The robbery occurred about 8:30 a.m., shortly after it opened.

Once in the bank, Bradley approached a bank teller, handed her note and told her it was a robbery, according to an an arrest warrant. The note said to empty the drawer on one side and 50s and 100s on the other side, the report said.

After the money was presented, Bradley took the cash and left with it and the note, the report said.

The amount taken was $2,800.

Bradely was identified through witnesses and surveillance photos and videos.

No one was harmed in the robbery, a police Facebook post said.
