A new Myrtle Beach oceanfront Hilton high-rise hotel with a rooftop bar is coming

A high-rise hotel that will be dual-branded by Hilton as a Home2 Suites and Tempo is planned for South Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.

It will be 11 stories high with 250 rooms and amenities that include a rooftop bar, pool, four-story parking garage and additional parking across Ocean Boulevard.

The dual branding will be done vertically, with the upper floors being Tempo and lower floors being Home2.

CN Hotels is developing the hotel over two adjacent lots at 2801 and 2805 South Kings Highway on the ocean side of the road.

CN Hotels is a hotel ownership, development and operating company based in High Point, N.C., with properties throughout the Southeast, including another in Myrtle Beach with the Hampton Inn on 75th Avenue North.

CN Hotels owns the oceanfront property, according to Nelson Broyles, the design project manager for ODA Architecture of Charlotte, N.C., and is in the process of demolishing the existing buildings, which were the Sea Hawk Inn & Suites and Sea Horn Inn & Suites.

The Sea Hawk Inn & Suites and Sea Horn Inn & Suites are being demolished to make way for a dual-branded Hilton Home2 Suites and Tempo hotel at 2801 and 2805 South Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach.

The rooftop will be available for rent, Broyles said.

The main lobby will be on the second floor, and the ground floor will consist of a pool complex, and the lobby level and rooftop will feature glass railings.

Numerous terraces and balconies will provide views of the ocean.

A wide sidewalk and landscaping will be added to the front of the hotel. Garage entrances will be off Ocean Boulevard and 28th Avenue South.

Planned exterior hotel colors include blue, gray, dark gray and white, and light blue vertical LED channel lights are expected to run along the building front.

The hotel will be located between the Tropical Seas hotel to its south and Ocean Blue and a closed Knights Inn to its north.

Broyles said Thursday the owners hope to begin construction early next year and it’s too early to predict an opening date.
