Coroner identifies man killed in hit-and-run crash near Myrtle Beach
An Horry County coroner has identified a pedestrian who died after he was struck in a hit-and-run near Myrtle Beach.
Louis Fischer, 75, was walking on Breezewood Boulevard around 9 p.m. Friday night when he was struck by a vehicle in the Amberfield development, Tamara Willard said in a statement emailed to The Sun News.
Fischer was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
