1 dead after scooter crashes into dump truck near Loris, SCHP says
One person is dead after a scooter crashed into a dump truck near Loris, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened about 4:45 p.m. Thursday when a scooter traveling west on Dogwood Road crashed into the back of a parked dump truck. The truck was parked legally along Dogwood Road, Sgt. Sonny Collins said.
The person driving the scooter has died, Collins said.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office has not released the name of the person who died.
