A big catch: Horry County Fire’s dive team fishes car out of Myrtle Beach pond

A Myrtle Beach-area pond had an unwelcome visitor Friday morning, as rescue crews were called to remove a vehicle from the water.

Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched just before 9 a.m. to recover the unoccupied car near 5901 S. Kings Hwy, according to a Facebook post.

The department’s dive team attached a line to tow it from the water, but officials couldn’t immediately provide any additional details about the vehicle, its owner, or how it made its way into the pond.
