Reports: Investigators reveal origin of fire that destroyed beloved Horry County bar

A fire that destroyed a beloved Little River bar began outside, authorities said.

The fire that caused the roof of Windjammer Pub to collapse last month originated behind the building, WMBF-TV reported. The bar is located at 2300 South Carolina Highway 179.

The cause of the two-alarm fire is undetermined, the TV station reported.

Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the scene of the fire at 2:53 a.m. Sept. 29, according to the department.
