Here are live updates of power outages reported across Horry County

Thousands of people were without power in the Conway area as thunderstorms swept through the area Monday morning.

Most of the outages have been restored as of 10:45 a.m. Monday. Here are live updates of outages across Horry County.

10:30 a.m. update

Outages across the area have decreased as most of the severe weather has moved out of Horry County.

Horry Electric Cooperative is now reporting less than 900 outages around the Conway area.

Santee Cooper is reporting around 20 outages.

9:30 a.m. update

Horry Electric Cooperative power outages has decreased to about 1,800 across the county.

Santee Cooper is reporting a couple dozen outages in the Myrtle Beach, Conway and Loris areas. There are broken poles on U.S. 501 near 544, which could leave nearby residents without power for up to six hours, according to Santee Cooper’s Twitter.

8:30 a.m. update

Horry County is under a tornado warning until 9:15 a.m. Horry County Emergency Management Division urges people to take shelter immediately.

Horry Electric Cooperative is reporting an additional 1,000 outages in the Toddsville area of Horry County, according to its outage map. There are more than 3,500 outages total.

Santee Cooper is reporting more than 1,000 outages near the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge in the Conway area.

8 a.m. update

Horry Electric Cooperative is reporting more than 600 outages off U.S. 501 across from Coastal Carolina University and more than 680 outage around S.C. 22, just north of the Homewood area. There are about 635 outages reported in the Aynor area, HEC’s outage map reports.

Santee Cooper is not reporting any major outages as of 8 a.m.
