A sunny start and a rainy Easter: Myrtle Beach’s holiday weekend weather forecast
Spring weather is here, y’all, but that doesn’t mean you should throw any outdoor parties or cookouts.
Social distancing still must be practiced despite the mid-60s and sunny forecast for Friday and Saturday from the National Weather Service. There is little chance for rain, so you could take time to go on a walk or sit on your porch.
If you’re going to venture out to a grocery store this weekend, consider wearing a mask.
At night the temperature is predicted to drop to 42 degrees on Friday and 57 degrees on Saturday.
While the holiday weekend will start sunny, Easter Sunday will be rainy with temperatures in the low 70s during the day and in the mid-60s by night. There is a 30 to 70 percent chance for rain on Sunday with potential for storms later in the evening.
Church services are mostly meeting virtually or in a drive-up, but the rain could impact Easter picnic plans.
Rain is also predicted for Monday, which hopefully will make the “home and work” orders a little more bearable.
Not fully enjoying the spring weather with friends and loved ones is difficult, but remember, all of us doing our part to slow the spread of coronavirus could help salvage some of our plans for the summer and fall.
Have a fun weekend and stay safe, y’all.
