This ‘Homecoming Queen’ will be joining the 2020 Carolina Country Music Fest lineup

Recent news of Carolina Country Music Fest’s postponement due to the coronavirus may have bummed some fans out, but they can now rejoice with country darling Kelsea Ballerini joining the star-studded event in September.

Ballerini, known for hits such as “Miss Me More,” “Peter Pan” and “Homecoming Queen?” will join the already-stacked lineup during the four-day outdoor fest Sept. 17-20 in Myrtle Beach. The current CCMF lineup includes headliners Luke Combs, Eric Church, Dairus Rucker and Jake Owen.

The highly anticipated event was originally scheduled for June 4-7, but the spread of COVID-19, and the recent passing of country singer Joe Diffie, who was slated to perform and died of coronavirus complications, forced festival runners to postpone to September. All previously purchased tickets and parking passes will still be honored for the rescheduled dates.

However, tickets are non-refundable. Festival runners are encouraging those to sell their tickets to others if they can’t attend the new dates. A Facebook page has been created for ticket exchanges, with a link on the CCMF website for ticket authentication and transfers once a deal is made.

Due to the postponement, changes were also made to the lineup with some artists dropping out.

While Jon Pardi, Mitchell Tenpenny and Maddie & Tae will no longer be in attendance, Lauren Alaina, Jordan Davis, Joe Nichols, Davisson Brothers Band and Warrick McZeke, and more, will take their place.

The event has become a staple in Myrtle Beach since its inception in 2015, attracting more than 30,000 country music fans who come dressed to party in their cowboy boots and country garb. The annual event is held at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place on Ocean Boulevard between 8th and 9th avenues North.

Here’s the current lineup and how you can get tickets:
