Engaged couple, Green Sea resident die in separate Horry County wrecks

The Horry County Coroner’s office identified the three people killed in separate Horry County wrecks over the weekend.

Tristan Loggie, 21, and Taylor Mitcheltree, 21, died after their vehicle hit a tree along Nichols Highway on Saturday. The pair were engaged to be married and lived in the Galivants Ferry area.

Police say the couple’s car ran off the road and hit a tree around 5:45 a.m.

On Sunday, police went to a single-vehicle wreck on Daisy Road outside of Loris. The driver of a Chevrolet HHR hit a ditch, overturned and was partially ejected from the vehicle.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified that victim as 30-year-old Kaine Strickland. He lived in the Green Sea area.
