McLeod Seacoast in Little River confirms first case of coronavirus
McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River confirmed it was notified Thursday afternoon of the first inpatient in its system with a confirmed positive for COVID-19.
McLeod said it is following all CDC guidelines regarding isolation of this patient.
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control said that another case of coronavirus was confirmed in Horry County on Thursday, bringing the total to six since the first case was announced Sunday. But its not clear if the McLeod patient is that case or an additional case.
Currently, no deaths have been reported in any known patients in Horry County.
