The Charlie Daniels Band is coming down to Myrtle Beach and looking to play a show

The devil went to Georgia looking for a soul to steal, but country singer Charlie Daniels is coming to Myrtle Beach looking to give a concert.

The Charlie Daniels Band will be playing at Myrtle Beach’s Carolina Opry Theater this summer on Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.

Daniels, 83 and from Wilmington, North Carolina, is a famous country music star and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. His song “Devil Went Down to Georgia” has been played in movies, video games and on the radio since it was released in 1979.

He is also known for being a vocal supporter of veterans rights groups and is the chairman of the The Journey Home Project that helps raise money for veteran affairs.

Tickets can be purchased on the Carolina Opry’s website starting at $69.
