Here’s what is on tap as food trucks are set to roll into Myrtle Beach for a festival

Ring in springtime with food and fun as the annual Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival rolls into town next month.

The popular three-day food festival will feature 30 food trucks and will kick off Friday, April 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place between 8th and 9th Avenues North. The event, which is free to all, will continue April 4-5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

While the festival will be a foodie’s delight, there will something for everyone with live entertainment, beer stations, a cornhole tournament, vendors and kid-friendly activities.

Here’s what you need to know when you attend the 2020 Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival:

Food, Drinks & Shopping

Whether your taste buds crave savory cuisine, sweet treats, snack food or ice cream, then you’re in luck. The featured food trucks will provide an array of appetizing delicacies, including barbecue, burgers, pizza, grilled cheese, tacos, gyros, noodles, kielbasa, hot dogs, ice cream, snow cones, cupcakes, donuts, roasted nuts, and more.

Attendees can purchase food directly from the vendor.

Attendees are prohibited from bringing their own coolers, but beer stations will be located throughout the festival featuring wine, courtesy of Duplin Winery, and beer. Attendees must have a valid ID and alcoholic beverages are cash only.

Several vendors will also be in attendance, including Native Sons, Hooked Soul, Monster Marketing, Inc., Arabelle Boutique Mobile, Legends in Concert, Black Dog Running Around, All Natural Botanicals and Gifts, Joydrops by Dana, Rambler, The Lively at Market Common and Wyndham.

Entertainment

Who doesn’t enjoy a show with a great meal? A group of local bands is scheduled to perform throughout the festival, so grab your lawn chairs, kick back and relax.

Activities

Show off your tossing talents and sign up for the two-day cornhole tournament. The tournament, hosted by Coastal Tailgating, has a $10 entry fee that includes a blind draw and 100 percent payout. Participants are encouraged to bring their own partner. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with the event starting at noon. To sign up, visit http://coastaltailgating.com/

For younger festival-goers, there will be a Kidz zone area with inflatable bounce houses, carnival games, rock wall, slides and other activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash or credit cards with each vendor assigning their own prices for each activity.

Other Information

No pets will be allowed at the festival. Exceptions will be made for service dogs.

There will be ATM machines located on festival grounds.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, but coolers will be prohibited.
