New coffee shop set to open its first location in Myrtle Beach’s Market Common area

The Market Common area will soon welcome a new coffee shop.

Grand Strand Coffee announced plans to open its first location in the popular Myrtle Beach destination’s Soho District. The business, which has spent the last year growing at local farmer’s markets, will open in the building that previously housed The Roasted Bean on Howard Avenue.

“It’s official, we will be opening our first store in the Soho area of Market Common,” the business said in a Facebook post on Sunday. “No official open date yet but we hope it’s not too long.”

Predicting a mid-March opening, the shop will feature a simple but high-quality menu consisting of directly-sourced coffees, American and true Italian-style espresso, veggie and meat quiche, bento box style lunches, and a selection of locally-made baked goods. Whole bean bagged coffee will also be available with a Palmetto blend medium roast and Riptide dark roast on display with two-to-three rotating seasonal flavors.
