Myrtle Beach forecast: Here’s what is in store for over the holiday weekend

Clear skies and cooler temperatures will start off the weekend in Myrtle Beach ahead of possible showers, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds will gradually move away through the day and the night will be clear up Friday just in time for your Valentine’s Day date, but you may want to grab a light jacket.

Forecasters say Saturday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 50 degrees.

Temperatures will drop to around 40 degrees overnight Saturday in the Myrtle Beach area as the skies become cloudy, the NWS reports. A chance of rain is possible Sunday afternoon.

Monday is Presidents Day, which may make for a long weekend for some folks, and the day is forecast to be mostly sunny, with a high around 60 degrees.

Here are the high and low temperatures for the weekend, according to the NWS:

  • Friday: High 57, low 35
  • Saturday: High 50, low 39
  • Sunday: High 56, low 45
  • Presidents Day: High 61, low 53
