Grab your umbrellas ahead of weekend sunshine: Your Myrtle Beach area weather forecast

It may be a rainy start to the weekend, Myrtle Beach.

The National Weather Service is calling for a partly sunny day Friday, followed by rain in the afternoon and into the night. By Saturday morning, the rain will have moved out of the area and the day is expected to be mostly cloudy.

Super Bowl Sunday will be a sunny day in the Myrtle Beach area, with the warmest temperatures of the weekend predicted. Clear skies and sunshine will continue into Monday, forecasters say.

High temperatures are forecast to rise through the weekend and into next week, the weather service reports.

Friday’s high is expected to be about 53 in Myrtle Beach, followed by a low of 44. The weekend high temperatures are forecast to be 55 on Saturday and 58 on Sunday, and then a high in the mid 60s Monday and Tuesday. Low temperatures through the weekend will be in the low to mid 40s, the NWS reports.
