Road closures coming to Carolina Forest area as widening work continues

Additional road closures are coming to Carolina Forest Boulevard as widening work continues.

The boulevard entrance to the Bellegrove subdivision will be closed on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, according to a release from Horry County government. Residents are asked to use an alternative entry point onto International Drive or River Oaks Drive.

The boulevard itself will have a nighttime lane closure from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Jan. 23. These plans could change depending on the weather.

Widening Carolina Forest Boulevard was approved by voters in a 2016 referendum. Work is expect to finish up in 2021.
