Grammy winning country singer added to Myrtle Beach’s Carolina Opry Theater lineup

Bust out those boots because country music star Travis Tritt is returning to the Myrtle Beach area.

The two-time Grammy winner, who is on his Acoustic Solo Tour, is scheduled to perform at The Carolina Opry Theater in Myrtle Beach on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. The intimate event will include acoustic versions of his music accompanied by personal stories and anecdotes about his life and musical influences.

Tritt, who is dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89” with country superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson, hit the music scene 30 years ago. He’s released 11 studio albums with songs that have produced hits that dominated the charts in the early ‘90s and nine Grammy Award nominations — two of which he won.

He won Grammys for a pair of collaborations with Marty Stuart: The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’ and Same Old Train, which also included nine other artists. Tritt has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992.

Music-goers can expect to hear classics, including “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” “Here’s A Quarter” and “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” when Tritt hits the Myrtle Beach stage.

The Carolina Opry Theater is located at 8901 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. Tickets are on sale now starting at $69. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 800-843-6779 or visit www.TheCarolinaOpry.com.
