When will the rain start? Here’s your Myrtle Beach-area weekend forecast

A few showers are possible heading into the weekend and then again to begin the week in the Myrtle Beach area, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Light showers are possible Friday evening ahead of a cold front, forecasters say. Saturday is expected to be a mostly sunny day with a high around 57 degrees and a low of 40 degrees in Myrtle Beach.

Another chance of rainfall will return Sunday evening, and continue into Monday and Tuesday in the area, the NWS reports.

Sunday’s high will be in the upper 50s, with a low around 50 degrees, according to forecasters.

Going into the new week, temperatures Monday are expected to be a little warmer with a high around 68 and low around 60, the NWS reports.
