An eatery near Restaurant Row in Myrtle Beach has closed after 15 years in operation
The Steak ‘n Shake restaurant near Tanger Outlet on U.S. Highway 17 in Myrtle Beach has closed after 15 years at the location.
A sign in the window of the eatery at 10835 Kings Road said the location is permanently closed and added: “It was our pleasure to have been able to serve you for the last 15 years. Thank you.”
Another Steak ‘n Shake location on Loyola Drive off U.S. 17 just south of Myrtle Beach closed in April. There is still a Steak ‘n Shake located inside Myrtle Beach International Airport.
The burger chain with a 1950s diner aesthetic has closed more than 100 locations throughout the country this year, according to Restaurant Business magazine, though it says it plans to reopen many with new franchisees, the magazine reports.
