Welcome to The Sun News' new website, which is optimized to make viewing easy on both mobile products and desktops.
Although MyrtleBeachOnline.com will be easier to use, you will still find the site packed with stories, videos and photos from our award-winning journalists.
Among the improvements you will find are:
- The site detects the device you are using and tailors the display to fit your screen. This assures great-looking content on desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
- Technology upgrades speed delivery of new content for you.
- On desktop and laptop, redesigned drop-down menus show the top stories found on main section fronts. Desktop and laptop users who prefer the e-edition -- the online replica of the printed newspaper -- will find a link by hovering over Home, the first item in our navigation rail on any section front.
- On a phone or tablet, clicking on the three-bar icon at the top left of your screen provides a menu.
- A more complete weather forecast is accessible by clicking on the weather icon on the home page, or by tapping or swiping the icon on mobile or tablet. Also available: a radar map.
- An enhanced News/World report can be accessed under the News menu. You'll find the latest from 30 McClatchy news sites, including our Washington and foreign bureaus, and from wire services including The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Associated Press.
- You can submit a letter to the editor in the Opinion menu. On our Customer Service page, linked at the top of each page, you can send news tips and report issues related to your subscription. You can also send us general feedback by clicking on the “Contact Us” link. And in the Home menu, you can click on any of our social media and talk with us.
- Obituaries can now be found in the navigation menu at the top of the screen.
