Latest coronavirus numbers: Here are the figures for Horry County, Myrtle Beach

Horry County and the Myrtle Beach area continue to see an increase in its total COVID-19 cases.

There are now 267 confirmed coroanvirus cases in the county since the outbreak began in mid-March. South Carolina health officials released the updated figures Monday evening. The figures are up from the 262 cases reported on Sunday afternoon.

There have also been 18 deaths in Horry County due to coronavirus.

South Carolina has more than 7,792 total COVID-19 cases. The state’s recovery rate is at 81 percent.

The latest data comes as some Myrtle Beach area restaurants reopened dining room service on Monday. The dining rooms have been closed for weeks to help slow the virus’ spread.

Restaurants are currently limited to 50 percent capacity as the state looks to restart the economy.
