Some Myrtle Beach area businesses remain open as there have been confirmed cases of the coronavirus, of COVID-19, on the Grand Strand.

Though South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has ordered all dine-in services close at restaurants and bars, some spots are offering free delivery and curbside pick up during this time.

Here are businesses and local governments with facilities that remain open in the area:

The City of Myrtle Beach’s beaches and recreation facilities are open as of Wednesday.

In North Myrtle Beach, fitness areas and pools are open at its aquatics center, but classes, basketball and racquetball courts, and childcare are closed. The city’s parks and beaches are also open. City spokesperson Pat Dowling said the city encourages people to use the city’s online services as much as possible.

Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach and Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach both remain open for business. Some restaurants within those entertainment areas are offering to-go and curbside pick up options.

Most of the retail stores in the Myrtle Beach area appear to be open, including chain stores like Target, Walmart, as well as beachwear stores. Some stores are beginning to implement limited hours.

Coastal Grand Mall continues to operate. Its food court restaurants are only allowing pick-up and carry out options, following the governor’s temporary ban of dining in. According to a release from the mall, “certain stores and restaurants are following their own corporate guidelines for modified operating hours and temporary store closures.”

The Market Common also remains open, but some stores within the shopping area may limit hours of operation. “If you plan to visit a particular business, please call before going to ensure that they will be open. It is also imperative that we all follow the expressed guidelines of social distancing, hand washing, etc,” according to a Market Common Facebook post.

Golf courses and miniature golf courses are open, and the Strand’s two PGA Tour Superstore locations are open with modified hours and Curbside Caddie service, allowing customers to order online and pick up outside the stores.

Services such as massages, including Massage Envy’s three locations, and nail salons are open throughout the Strand.
