An alleged guest shared her views on Facebook over the weekend after booking rooms at the Captain’s Quarters Resort in downtown Myrtle Beach.

When contacted by The Sun News on Monday afternoon to confirm the guest’s account and ask subsequent questions, a resort employee hung up the phone.

The post said there was mold found in both hotel rooms at the resort, and a piece of tape holding together broken curtains.

“There may be all kinds of amenities, but it DOES NOT make up for the nastiest in here,” the post said. “Mold everywhere. Cuts in the curtains and fixed by a piece of tape. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.”

In a local Facebook group, the re-shared post received 835 reactions and 406 comments. The original post has been re-shared on Facebook 216 times as of Monday afternoon.
