A beloved sandwich shop in Myrtle Beach is shutting its doors soon. Here’s what we know

A got-to lunch spot for Carolina Forest will be shutting their doors in a matter of days.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is a national chain with an extensive sandwich menu that includes cheese steaks, a Thanksgiving-inspired turkey sub and American Wagyu Roast Beef with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise.

Their last day operating in Carolina Forest at 224 Fresh Drive Unit B will be on Wednesday.

A message with the franchise owner was left on Monday.

The franchise first opened last June alongside three other businesses, according to previous reporting.

A different Capriotti’s used to be located in Market Common, before shutting their doors too.

After the Carolina Forest location closes, only one Capriotti’s will be in South Carolina, the company’s list of locations show. The sole franchise is located in Fort Mill, SC at 810 Brayden Parkway.

Capriotti’s was first founded in 1976 in Wilmington, Delaware by Lois and Alan Margolet, the website said.

They currently have locations in 29 states.
