Conway ice cream and cookie dough shop to close soon. It’s what’s ‘best for our family’

An edible cookie dough and ice cream shop in Conway will shut down by the end of October, according to the business’s Facebook.

Coastal Cookie Dough, 3320 4th Avenue, will close permanently on Oct. 27. The company did not explain why in an Oct. 19 Facebook post but said, “it is what is best for our family.”

The Sun News was unable to reach the owner before publication.

The dessert restaurant started as a Cookie Dough Bliss franchise in the Coastal Grand Mall in 2018. It became Coastal Cookie Dough in 2019 and then transitioned into a brick-and-mortar store in 2021, The Sun News previously reported.

Coastal Cookie Dough serves nearly 20 flavors of edible cookie dough, including classics like chocolate chip and creative flavors like frosted animal cookie. There’s also over 30 flavors of ice cream along with sundaes, milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches to choose from.

In the Facebook post, Coastal Cookie Dough encourages customers with gift and punch cards to come in before it closes. While the official closing date is Oct. 27, the restaurant could close earlier if inventory runs out.

“We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support over the years. It has been an incredible journey filled with sweet memories, and we are so thankful for each one of you who has walked through our doors and supported us,” the restaurant said in its online statement.
